Hallandale WR enjoys atmosphere at FIU
Coach Mario Cristobal and his FIU program continue to add talent to the roster. Hallandale High School prospect Korvic Neat committed to FIU over the summer at their camp. He has been to both FIU home games and came away impressed with the program.
"It was a good game, I know they have a young team but it is coming together," said Neat. "I really like the crowd and the atmosphere."
What do you like most about FIU?
"I like that they are building a young program. I want to be a part of a program that I can help build."
The 5 foot 9, 155-pound Neat has rushed 51 times for 746 yards with 11 receptions for 282 yards on the year. What position does FIU see him playing?
"They are recruiting me as a wide receiver."
Are you hearing from any other schools?
"USF says they are going to offer me, but I am not to sure if they are or not. I am also hearing from Troy and Middle Tennessee."
Neat and his Hallandale teammates take on Archbishop McCarthy this Thursday. Hallandale is 4-2 on the season.
