Jackson's off to great start at Hargrave
The University of Georgia hopes to have Toby Jackson in Athens early in 2009, but before he can get there he has to take care of business at Hargrave Military. He has been there since mid August and he is off to a good start.
"We are happy with what Toby Jackson is doing up here," said Hargrave Head Coach Robert Prunty. "He is playing well, he has a good attitude, and he is working hard in the classroom."
Jackson signed with Georgia last February and both he and UGA knew that it would go down to wire when talking eligibility. He made strides his final semester and made it close at the end, but he came up a little short on the test side.
He needs to raise his ACT score a couple of points and he will have a handful of opportunities to that between now and the end of the semester in December.
If he gets what he needs, then he will be in Athens shortly after the celebration of the new year. If the Dawgs get him on campus, then Coach Prunty think they could be getting another All-American on the defensive line.
