UCLA squeaks by A&M
The Bruins pulled another one out of the hat. UCLA trailed for much of the game but with a heavy dose of defense they were able to battle back from a 10 point deficit to beat an outstanding Texas A&M team 53-49.
The Bruins were able to comeback in this game because of their tenacious defensive play.
It appeared that the Texas A&M Aggies had the Bruins figured out and were one step ahead of the posse and like night turns into day, UCLA turned up their defensive energy and put the clamps on the Aggies.
The Aggies had an eight point lead with 15 minutes plus to play and were shooting 58.1 from the floor.
That's when the Bruins got busy. Over the next 14 minutes due largely in part to UCLA's defense the Aggies only shot 2-17 from the field.
When Kevin Love hit that fade away jumper with 7-footer DeAndre Jordan draped all over him the Bruins took their first lead since early in the game 47-45.
