CYPRESS, Texas - Not only was this weekend's Greater Houston Football Coaches Association Texas Football Combine one of this year's biggest in terms of numbers, but also featured more out-of-state prospects than one might expect.

With numerous in-state prospects on hand to show their stuff, several out-of-state prospects like Hahnville, La., receiver Laron Byrd made the long trip to come and compete. Byrd, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver, came out looking the part and running his 40-yard dash in the 4.6-second range.
