The Spring Evaluation Period kicked off two weeks ago and lasts until the end of May. This time allows for coaches to make one evaluation of prospects' athletic abilities and one evaluation to assess their academic standing. Many college coaches are out visiting schools during these weeks and Louisville's Greg Nord was in Georgia recently evaluating a defensive end.

Marietta (Ga.) Walton defensive end Chase Thomas holds nine scholarship offers from the likes of Duke, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Michigan State and others. Louisville joined that group in April.
