Running backs will dominate again in '07
If you're going to spend your football offseason trying to envision what the Oklahoma offense will look like in 2007, we can already tell you what to look for.
Don't worry about whether your quarterback goes by the name Halzle, Bradford or even Nichol. Don't worry because the 2007 Oklahoma offense should look a lot like the 2006 Oklahoma offense.
You remember that unit right? They were the ones who lost Adrian Peterson in the sixth game of the season and continued to run the football even more in his absence.
They were the ones who had a quarterback with limited abilities compared to signal callers of the past.
Next year's Oklahoma offense could look a lot like the one that rushed the ball 45 times for 224 yards during a 17-16 win over Texas A&M in College Station last season.
With a monstrous offensive line and a bevy of talented running backs, Oklahoma will have to run the ball in order to cover up inexperience at quarterbacks.
