Taylor accepting star status

While most everyone knew what Londell Taylor would do during his 10 a.m. announcement at Vian high school in Eastern Oklahoma, that doesn't make the moment any less significant for a prospect that just a few short weeks ago was not much more than a whisper in the college football recruiting game.

"My ceremony went well, I'm sure you know by now that I picked Oklahoma," an obviously excited Taylor said. "We just had a ceremony at the school, some of my other teammates signed. We had an offensive lineman sign with Central Arkansas, and some others signed division two."

A year ago recruiting fans across the state were enamored with the gaudy statistics of Wolverine running back Vfastv Locust.

In fact this time last year, most would have guessed it would have been Locust who would be receiving offers from the likes of Butch Davis and Bob Stoops.

"I'm excited, but I really feel bad for him, he had a lot of high expectations but he got into some trouble and that stuff happens," he lamented for his teammate. "I'm happy that I was able to step in and contribute to the team this year.

"This year we didn't have just one guy that stood out."
