Wildcats look for revenge against Cougars
After one of the most embarrassing defeats in the Lute Olson era at Arizona, the Wildcats need a big game to rebound against Washington State tonight.
Arizona has lost five of its last seven games with the only two wins coming against Pac-10 basement dwellers Oregon State and Arizona State.
The Cougars, on the other hand, have won five of their last seven games and suffered defeats only against Oregon and an extremely hot Stanford team.
In their last meeting, Washington State got the upper hand and the upset, beating then seventh-ranked Arizona 77-73. In that contest, Daven Harmeling's 28-point outburst, which included seven three-pointers, sealed the deal for the Cougars with Kyle Weaver nearing a triple-double, racking up 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Weaver has since posted an actual triple-double in the loss against Stanford with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. He is a threat to do that anytime he steps on the court and is very consistent inside and outside, averaging 11.4 points and a team leading 5.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists.
