There is some good news from today's press conference with Ben Howland. Injured Josh Shipp shot some today and improving. He Shipp participated in a 45-minute shoot around this morning and practiced hard for an hour this afternoon. His playing status will be a game-time decision for the Bruins' contest against Arizona State on Jan. 18 in Pauley Pavilion.

The UCLA doctors did an ultrasound and they were able to see some improvement.

In the morning workout Shipp took 300 shots and don't fret when he is ready the Howland is going to get him on the court. UCLA will not sandbag Shipp for Arizona.

If the doctors say Shipp is ready by Thursday Evening he will suit up and play against ASU.
