Shannon: Mario's going to do what's best for him
* Offensive line coach Mario Cristobal evaded questions again today about whether or not he will accept the FIU head coaching job.
"Seriously guy, the only thing I have to talk about is our practice," Cristobal said.
Cristobal did say that "everyone that coaches football feels they're (ready to be a head coach)."
Cristobal said that, contrary to some reports, he has done some recruiting for Miami in the last couple of weeks.
Coach Randy Shannon, asked about Cristobal's situation, said, "Mario's going to do what's best for him. Mario came out the last two days, coached his butt (off). That's the only thing that concerns me."
* Shannon mostly answered recruiting questions after this afternoon's practice.
