Aztecs know UA game is a big one

At 8-1, San Diego State has definitely had a successful start to its 2006-07 basketball campaign. However, wins over teams like California, St. Mary's and UCSB are nice, but beating the Wildcats on Saturday could help propel the Aztecs to the NCAA Tournament come March.

San Diego State's players are aware of what this game means and think they can compete with the Wildcats.

"I don't think it's anything like a David vs. Goliath type of game," said San Diego State forward Mohamed Abukar. "I feel like these are two good teams and two good programs that will be matching up.

"Arizona is definitely the more storied program, but we feel that talent wise we can play with anybody. We feel that if we come out and take care of the things we need to, we can be successful in this game."

The Aztecs don't get opportunities against programs like Arizona at home very often, which is what makes this game that much more important to them.
