Austell (Ga.) South Cobb linebacker Dorian Wood, the leading tackler in Cobb County, Ga., this season, has picked up his first scholarship offer.

"I received a verbal offer from Memphis," Wood said. "Coach Kenny Ingram the linebackers coach told me about it. He told me that they are going to send me a written scholarship at the end of the season and that I would have a full ride."

Wood admits he doesn't know much about the Conference USA school.

"I was excited," he said. "I don't know too much the program."
