Booker makes recent trip to UCF

UCFSports.com Orlando, Fla., Dr. Phillips defensive end Ricky Booker made a recent visit over to the east side of town to take a closer look at the University of Central Florida. Booker, who is 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, says he has over 17 offers including one from the Golden Knights.
"I've been to two camps this year and one visit, that's about it," Booker said. "Recruiting has been going well. My coach said I have over 17 Division I-A offers."
Booker said he had offers from UCF, Notre Dame, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida State, West Virginia, Iowa and Louisville, just to name a few.
"I went to the Auburn and Georgia camps and I just visited UCF," Booker said. "The UCF visit went good. I got to see a lot of things. They gave me an outlook of where I stand in college. I met their head coach (George O'Leary) and linebackers coach (Dave Huxtable). They were just saying to continue working hard in the weight room and that I'm going to be a big solid guy. Just stay focused on academics, that's rule No. 1.
