Springs Has Sooners in Top Four
When discussing the staggering defensive back talent in Texas for the 2014 class, there is no doubt that Arrion Springs belongs in that conversation as one of the classes' elite safeties. Springs, who stands at 5-foot-11 and 190-pounds, out of San Antonio Roosevelt impressed on-lookers last summer at the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Desoto, Texas.
During his time in Norman yesterday with his mom and teammate, 2014 defensive tackle prospect, Trae Gardner, Springs found out he has impressed more than just camp scouts and recruiting analysts.
While other prospects were sitting in a meeting, Springs was pulled out early to head up to talk to head coach, Bob Stoops, which was when he found out Oklahoma was impressed by him as well.
"I was very excited because I really didn't expect it to come that day," Springs said about picking up the offer from Oklahoma. "I figured it was going to come eventually but not on a junior day, so I was very excited."
