Defense was on UCLA coach Ben Howland's mind when he met with the Bruin beat media for a teleconference or the lack of defense would be more the point. Howland said UCLA's defense was poor and they didn't stay in their stance. The level of intensity wasn't good and they will have to be a whole lot better if they expect to compete with Oregon.
