Bulldogs begin week two
Rising junior Chris Relf is competing against redshirt freshman Tyler Russell for the starting job, a battle that continued during a two and a half hour practice on Tuesday.
"They are going to get better every day just as they get into the flow of things," said MSU head coach Dan Mullen of the quarterbacks. "We are still installing so there is a lot of thinking going on. We are teaching out there and I hope that you will see continual improvement with them and the receivers, their comfort in the offense and their speed in their decision making should improve every single day."
Like his first spring last season, Mullen still has depth concerns at wide receiver.
"They are still young and we're not real deep," Mullen said. "We've got to keep them healthy and we've got to go recruit some receivers. We need to get a whole bunch of them in here so we can feel good about that position."
