Sanders jars NFL door
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--Jock Sanders, West Virginia's junior pass-catching leader, admitted he had given some thought to coming out early for the NFL draft and hinted that his best friend, Noel Devine, also a junior, had been talking about the annual pro lottery, too.
The two described themselves as "brothers" before the Mountaineers went out for Practice No. 3, Tuesday, for Friday's 1 p.m. Gator Bowl. The game will be televised by CBS from the Jacksonville Memorial Stadium. WVU has been established a 2 1/2-point favorite to slay the Seminoles in Bobby Bowden's final game. West Virginia is ranked No.16 by the BCS poll. They are 9-3 compared to the 'Noels' 6-6 regular season ledger.
"Of course I have been thinking about (the draft)," said Sanders. "I'm dealing with it the way anyone in my position would. I am focused right now on this game and getting a W."
