Onyegbule gaining offers, focusing on playoffs
Arlington High School is in the playoffs for the second consecutive year and it's almost like déjà vu for the Colts. Arlington finished 6-4 in the 2008 regular season but had an extended run in the postseason before eventually losing to powerhouse Euless Trinity in the third round.
This season, the Colts started off with high expectations since they returned most of their starters including quarterback Matt Joeckel and his brother Luke Joeckel, an offensive tackle. They didn't do much to disappoint, finishing with an 8-2 record and a district title.
Now, after last week's 38-12 win over Burleson, the Colts repeat their march from last season as they face Odessa in the second round. It's a rematch of last year's contest that saw Arlington win, 28-27, but the Broncos may be missing talented running back Bradley Marquez which should give an advantage to the Colts. Junior wide receiver Miles Onyegbule, however, isn't buying that.
